Rehabilitation & Recovery at Work

Rehabilitation is all about supporting an individual to recover from an injury/illness or an un-planned event that temporarily or permanently changes their ability to perform their normal daily activities.
Trained allied health professionals such as a Rehabilitation Counsellor and Occupational Therapist are recognised by the NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) as qualified to be able to provide some of the following Rehabilitation and Recovery at Work support and assessments.

Our services include:

Return to work policies & procedures

Rehab and recovery at work counselling

Job modification, task analysis & ergonomic assessments

Vocational assessment & transferrable skills analysis

Recovery at work case management support

CPT, iCare (Quality of Life Foundation), Commcare

NSW Return to Work Coordinator training (2 days)

Critical incident debriefing – post incident or fatality

Meredith Chapman

Rehabilitation & RTW Counsellor

Meredith Chapman has over 20 years of experience as a Rehabilitation Counsellor/Consultant in Northern NSW and has worked with a variety of employers and industries assisting their workers in returning to work or alternate work placements. Meredith is recognised for her work with the NSW Police, Tamworth brain-injury Rehab Unit, Local Government services, Coal Mines Insurance and Agricultural business, along with numerous insurance agencies who refer or request her consultancy services.

We are able to travel within a 500 kilometre radius of Narrabri NSW to provide Rehabilitation and Recovery at Work services. RTW Training can be provided anywhere in NSW.

Occupational Therapy

Our highly trained and experienced Occupational Therapists work with you, your children and the elderly to overcome everyday difficulties.
We examine the challenges you are having and work together to help build skills and modify your environment to overcome these. 

CHILDREN

Improving independence in daily life, assisting with self-regulation and behaviour management

ADULTS

Helping those who have difficulty participating in daily activities at home or work, prescribing equipment to improve safety and independence

HOME MODIFICATION

Assess and modify the home environment to increase independence, socialisation and support a person’s needs

ANIMAL ASSISTED LEARNING

A complementary type of therapy involving animals as a form of treatment

Funding varies depending on type of card held

MEDICARE COMPLEX CARE

Including Chronic Disease Management Plans (up to 5 sessions)

HEALTHWISE

Up to 4 sessions annually

PRIVATE HEALTH FUND

Speak to your provider to confirm your level of cover

PRIVATELY PAID

You or your employer may choose to fund your sessions privately
